This novel created by Stephanie Evanovich untitled Two for The Dough. The genre of this novel is mystery. This novel was talking about a bounty hunter, we can call her Stephanie Pum. She is still learning the ropes at her cousin Vinnie’s bail bond office, so when she sets out on the trail of Kenny Mancuso, he is a suspiciously wealthy, working class Trenton boy who has just shot his best friend. That Mancuso is distantly related to vice cop Joe Morelli – who is trying to beat Stephanie to the punch – only makes the hunt more thrilling. Stephanie Plum has both the best luck and worst luck in the world, all at the same time.  As Morelli puts it, she could be very good if she knew what she was doing.  She stumbles onto clues and leads through sheer luck, but not everyone who fails to make their court date is willing to be found.  Some of them are scarier than others.  The psychopath in the first book had a thirst for violence, and the psycho in book two isn’t much better.

This article was talking about Alice Walker’s The Concept of feminism in Color Purple: Alice Walker’s The Concept of feminism in Color Purple. However, reversal of gender roles is seen in the couple Sofia and Harpo, a son of Albert whose face looks like a woman's face. He truly enjoys woman's works like cooking and washing dishes, while Sofia does a field work and traditional man's work. They fight constantly “like two men” getting Harpo the worst beating. Perhaps Walker shows this kind of irony in order to predict the reversal of roles that is likely to take place in the near future. Her story encourages her to throw herself actively in the Civil Rights Movement that aimed to bring equal rights and opportunities to the black women in all walks of life during her college days. Meridian divests herself of immediate blood relations- her child and parents- in order to align herself completely with the larger racial and social generations of blacks. She has created fusion with her generation of activist and older generation of oppressed black. Her personal identity has become a collective identity. Nettie's commentary through her letters from Africa on the Olinka people's discrimination against their men suggest the fact that gender oppression pervades the entire world of black men and women. Afro-Americans as well as Africans confine women to the care of children, and among the Olinka, the husband has death power over the wife. If he accuses his wife of witchcraft or infidelity, she can be killed” (TCP172). The epistolary form used in The Color Purple is suggestive of lesbian sexuality within the framework of lesbian feminism where the letter means the female body, and correspondence between two women is suggestive of lesbianism. With reference to Nettie's letters, Wendy Wall observes that Albert intercepts them because he fails to seduce her, and that he rapes her language because he fails to rape her body (264). According to Terry Eagleton “the letters come to signify female sexuality that folded secret place which is always open to violent intrusion”(54). Linda Abbandonato describes the novel as a womanist text and states: “By adopting the crazy quilt, the craft of her forefathers, as the structuring principle of her fiction, Alice Walker places herself within a tradition of a black creativity” (300). Thus these novels are exquisite examples of her womanist consciousness that enabled her to chronicle black women's journey to self-recognition.

In this study the research sought to critique literary works written by male writers from a feminist perspective. Since the key proponents of the feminist theory are basically women, the research intended to find out if male writers can fully address the plight of women in literary works as a way of exposing the injustices that exist between the treatment of women and women in most patriarchal societies. An analysis of two works by Ngugi WA Thiongo and Chinua Achebe was done in endeavor to unearth the extent to which male writers can be feminists. It was discovered that, despite being male, these writers try to address the address the plight of women by exposing the patriarchal tendencies that exist in society and avoiding the stereotyping of women. These writers also try to provide equal opportunities for both men and women. However, it was noted that since males are not female, they fall short of the expectations of the feminist theory as they are products of a patriarchal society. To sum up the foregoing discussion, it is worth noting that men do agree that they can never be women as their biological make-up cannot be changed. They will remain men but as far as Feminism is concerned, they can make an impact by fighting the oppression of women through writing. Male writers like Ngugi and Achebe among others have embraced the feminist theory and have tried to expose and challenge patriarchy by elevating women to influential positions at the same time trying to do away with the gender stereotyping of women. Their efforts can be appreciated because they are products of patriarchal societies. Thus, to a greater extent men can be feminists as evidenced by the discussions raised in this paper. Male writers should, however, work extra hard to totally emancipate women so that they can surely become feminists and not semi- feminists who on one side act as if they are elevating women but at the same time failing to totally empower them.
